so, there are some things in my life that i've made decisions not to blog about, for various reasons - personal privacy, the privacy of others, professional decorum. none of these are anything shocking or strange, so don't worry, you're not missing much. in some cases, though, there's not much reason to it - i keep that distance just for me, so that i know that there are little details about my life that aren't public - simple, everyday things that are off-limits here, *just because*.

i'm not going to break my own rule right now, but i wish i could, because one of those things i don't talk about here isn't doing very well today, and it's all i can think about.
