i know it's almost stupid to post anymore; unapologetic is defunct by just about any standard, but there's suddenly a lot to say, and nobody to say it to but here.

so for those who don't know, amy and i broke up, amicably again, and (rather surprisingly, for me at least) seem to be succeeding in maintaining a perfectly nice friendship. which is good.

the last couple of weeks have been filled with live music shows and meeting new people at them. since last mentioning such things here, i've had the privelege of witnessing the new pornographers, black rebel motorcyle club, dalek, songs:ohia, trailer bride, and richard buckner. quite a run of excellent shows - and the pace doesn't seem to be letting up - lots of good music to see in the coming weeks too. even roadtrips and such. off to grandaddy and the super furry animals tomorrow night!

i also had the amazing opportunity last night to see a preview showing of sofia coppola's "lost in translation" and it is without question one of the finest movies i've seen in a long, long, while. and i say that completely independent of the fact that i find scarlett johanssen to be quite possibly the most attractive-in-a-real-way actress going. others may or may not find it as perfect a movie as i did; all i can say is that it hit a chord in me.

work has been murderously hectic (read: fun and exciting), as we're in the middle of political season, and we've been working on about 10 campaigns, designing all manner of handcards and direct mail and such propaganda.

and other things. many other things.

i like blogging - why don't i do it more these days?
